NEW OLYMPIADS

The “Sports for All promoted by Local Authorities" (New Olympiads) is a project that through sports, intends to be a point of support for the inclusion of people with less opportunities, in particular older people, and people with disabilities. It is intended to reproduce "New" Olympics at the local level, in the Municipalities of Jacarilla (Ayuntamiento de Jacarilla) in Spain and of Livadia (Dimos Levadewn) in Greece. As a closing of the same, two transnational mobilities will be held in order to dignify the effort and inclusion made through the project, as well as reinforce the feeling of belonging to the European Union. Various sports are proposed, such as hiking, cycling, ping-pong to achieve the objectives of the action and recreate Olympics at the local level that can serve as a paradigm of positive actions for inclusion through sports.
